Barristers.
We are obliged by the Bar Council to notify you that Lorne Alway and Richard Silver hold the degree of barrister, but they do not have a practicing certificate, because they have not completed the training required by the Bar Council. This limits the work they are allowed to do and the rights you will have against them and the Bar Council. They cannot appear in court on your behalf, conduct litigation or immigration work for you.
They are also not fully regulated by the Bar Council which means that, although the Bar Council can consider a complaint against them, it cannot require them to pay you compensation for inadequate professional services. The Bar Council will also not pay you compensation itself for any wrongdoing on their part. Full details are available at www.barcouncil.org.uk.
