Profile:
Nigel Clayton is responsible for managing the Sheffield office.

Nigel has extensive experience in the construction industry including working on projects both in the building and civil engineering sectors including specialist areas such as mining, water treatment, rail, off-shore structures, steel bridges and geotechnical work.

He has worked for construction consultancies and extensively for contracting organisations holding various senior commercial management positions including those of director in a multi-disciplinary group of companies and director in the overseas arm of a civil engineering contractor. He also has experience of insurance related work including preparing all types of insurance claims on mining and civil engineering projects.

In these positions he has been heavily involved in day-to-day management of project and business related issues and for developing and implementing systems and procedures to ensure effective management control.

Nigel has experience of dispute avoidance and resolution and has appeared as a witness in a construction dispute. He has also lectured on construction contracts and related subjects.
